As soon as we finished the reception for our concert with the Moscow Symphony, we headed back to the hotel to pack and prep for our 5 AM departure to Sochi. We were exited to see the home of the 2014 Winter Olympics. The Olympics will be in the mountains of Sochi, we were by the sea, the only subtropical zone in Russia.
We checked into our hotel on the Black Sea and brought our gear to the Sochi Summer Theater where we were to play our concert.
The concert at the Summer Theater was such a wonderful experience, the audience was dancing in the aisles and brought us out for a few encores. We were given flowers on stage after some of the songs and stayed for a while signing CDs and taking pics.
The next morning the presenter treated us to a boat ride on the Black Sea where we anchored and went swimming. We got to see some of the beautiful coast and seaside town that is one of the great resorts in Russia.
Later that night we played at BB Sea Jazz Club in Sochi. We were treated to a wonderful dinner and then after we played we joined with some amazing local musicians for a Jam session.
On the way back to hotel, our cab driver pulled out a guitar from his trunk and played the Beatles Back in the USSR
